Why doesn't the on-line
order form show shipping costs?
Shipping costs are not figured
until your order is received in our office. Unlike some
Internet sales companies, we do not estimate shipping costs.
We weigh your order and charge you the exact amount that we are
charged to ship it from our house to yours and we choose the carrier
with the best price and the best service in your area to get your
order to you.

Is there a minimum amount I
must order?
No, we do not have a minimum
order and will accept orders of any size, but we do charge a $5.00
service charge for any order under $50.00 before shipping, sales tax
or any other applicable charges are added in.

Why is there a service
charge for orders under $50.00?
The service charge allows us
to continue to provide you with grooming supplies at wholesale
prices, regardless of the size of your order. It offsets the
cost of packing many small orders.

Do I have to pay sales tax
on my order?
At this time, only California
residents are required to pay sales tax on orders from American Pet
Pro.

How will I know what my
total is if the order form doesn't add in shipping or service
charges?
Every new customer receives a
courtesy email telling them what the total will be once shipping and
applicable taxes or service charges are added. You will be given
until the next day to approve, change or cancel the order. If we do not
hear from you by the time stated in your courtesy email, we will
ship your order as you requested it, the day after we receive it.
Returning customers will not get this email as they already know
there will be shipping charges added.

How will I know when to
expect my order to arrive?
All orders placed over the
Internet will receive an email telling them when the order has
shipped, by what carrier, the tracking number which you can follow
on the internet sites of that carrier, ie: MyUPS.com or FedEx.com

I forgot my password, what
do I do?
Click the "forgot
Password" link on the check out page and your password will be
reset and emailed to you very quickly.

What do I do if something
arrives damaged?
Always inspect your packages
from the outside and if something appears to be damaged, alert the
driver immediately. If you notice damage to the carton, you
should open the package and inspect for other damages before the
driver leaves and ask for a damage claim form from the driver.
If the damages are not noticed until after the driver leaves, call
the shipping company (UPS or Fed Ex) as soon as the damage is
noticed and ask for a damage claim form. It is the
responsibility of the shipping company to reimburse you for any
costs for damaged goods.

What do I do if my order
never arrives?
You should have received an
email from us, if you placed your order over the internet, which
will have a tracking number in it. You can track your order
on-line (www.myups.com or www.fedex.com)
and you can contact the shipping company with your tracking number
and find out what has happened to your order.

I am not getting much help
from the shipping company for my lost or damaged order. Will
you help me?
Of course we will. Just
call 800-543-9480 and we will do whatever we can to help you.

I don't live in the United
States but want to order from American Pet Pro. What can I do?
At this time we do not ship
outside of the US. We can ship your orders to a US address of
a friend, family member or business contact of yours, if they are
willing to accept delivery of your order and forward it to you,
themselves. Just provide us with their US
address in the "Ship
To" section of the order form and we will gladly get your order
to your designated contact person within the US.

I want to groom my dog at
home and save money. What equipment and supplies do I need to
get started?
Because this has been such a
frequently asked question, Stanzee has just created the Grooming
At Home page where
she explains what you need and why, with pictures of each item
you need to have a complete home grooming kit. There is even a
printable "Wish List" included so you can decide what you
need now, what can wait and what you may only wish for.

Stanzee and Keeper are so
cute, are they real dogs?
YES! Our Official Spokes
Schnauzers are: Stanzee a 12 year old female, Salt & Pepper
and Keeper is a 5½ year old male, Black & Silver . They
are Miniature Schnauzers and are the fur-children of our webmaster.
Both dogs are rescues who were found in shelters. Stanzee is
marvelously obedience trained and holds the AKC title of Canine Good
Citizen. Keeper is working towards his CGC now. Don't
tell them they are dogs though. They both think they are human
family members, as they should! (Sadly,
Stanzee died on July 1, 2006 after a short but devastating battle
with Lymphosarcoma. she was at least 12 years old. She was
rescued from a shelter 9 years earlier as an adult dog and by her best
friend, our Webmaster. Goodbye Good Girl!)
